The Northern College for Body Psychotherapy was launched in 2004 to provide continuing professional development and training in Body Psychotherapy. We organise events and bring a variety of Trainers from different modalities.

All those interested in the Role and Place of the Body in Contemporary Psychotherapy are welcome to our college.

The Northern College for Body Psychotherapy provides a programme of workshops in essential skills and theory. Trainers come from a variety of backgrounds (Bioenergtic, Biodynamic, Radix etc.) and are eminent in their field.

John Heath (BSc C. Psychol. TSTA) is a psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer. Based in Penrith, he is co-director of the Cumbria School of Transactional Analysis.

Lis Heath (BSc TSTA (P)) lives in Penrith in Cumbria where she works as a psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer. She is co-director of The Cumbria School of Transactional Analysis.

Steff Oates (TSTA (P)) runs a private psychotherapy and supervisory practice in the North West of England. She is visiting trainer to Institutes in London, Edinburgh, Paris and Geneva and where she enjoys the interweaving of different theoretical approaches and cultures.

Jamie McDowell (BA MSTAT) is an Alexander Technique Teacher and Teacher Trainer. He lives and works Kendal Cumbria, at Fellside Centre, where many NCBP events are held.
